Job Overview:
Battea is looking for a highly experienced Senior .NET Web Developer to join an Agile, collaborative team building and maintaining scalable, mission-critical web applications. The ideal candidate is a seasoned .NET web developer with a strong front-end and JavaScript background, solid database skills, and hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery. The developer will work closely with end users and business experts to deliver quality solutions that directly impact the company's bottom line.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using .NET.
- Build responsive, interactive front-end interfaces using Blazor.
- Develop and optimize backend services, APIs, and data access layers.
- Write efficient, well-structured SQL and work with relational databases.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
- Adhere to best practices and object-oriented principles.
- Perform requirements gathering, business and systems analysis, and project planning.
- Collaborate with the team to research and design creative solutions to accommodate business needs.
- Test, validate, and deploy high-quality, reliable software products following established quality assurance and release practices.
Qualifications:
MUST HAVE:
- 10+ years of experience developing web applications using .NET (C#).
- Self-directed and able to work autonomously with minimal oversight, while collaborating effectively when needed, and has the experience to recognize when each is called for.
- Strong JavaScript experience.
- Solid, working-level database skills - comfortable writing and optimizing queries, designing schemas, and troubleshooting (intermediate level; not entry-level, but not DBA/administration focused).
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot (Claude Code experience strongly preferred).
- Must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- Understanding of common software project management practices.
- Understanding of common software development practices.
PREFERRED / PLUSES:
- Microsoft Blazor experience (preferred but not required).
- Claude Code experience (preferred over other AI coding assistants).
- Oracle Database / PL/SQL experience (preferred but not required).
- Experience with RESTful APIs and data serialization formats (JSON, XML).
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices.
- Experience working for a financial industry company and knowledge of securities.

- Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision and own the work involved.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
