Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Understands the tech strategy and culture, and how they impact own work as well as adjacent teams.
- Runs a team of Site Reliability Engineers on projects to ensure improvement of the availability, scalability, latency and efficiency of LSEG’s services.
- Leads by example, mentors the team and establishes credibility through quality technical execution.
- Runs end-to-end availability and performance of key services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence.
- Implements new / improved site reliability processes and standard methodologies, as required by Group or departmental Heads.
- Ensures the site reliability community has the technical skills required to deliver against long-term plans.
- Supports and develops team members by providing advice, mentoring and development opportunities.
- Coordinates the team and holds accountability for the work product.
- Leads design work and planning for elements within projects to the execution of it
- Works to budget targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Moderate experience in software development in one or more programming languages
- Previous experience managing an engineering team on projects with technical deep-dives into code, networking, operating systems and/or storage.
ITIL qualified
