MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
PineBridge Investments is seeking a Junior Accountant, U.S. Companies is a key member of the America’s Finance team, assisting controllers in maintaining the books and records for the US Consolidated group. Under the direction of the group vice president, senior accountant will work with accounting analyst to provide assistance to legal entity controllers and other corporate accounting team members. This role will perform day-to-day accounting functions to ensure efficient, accurate and controlled closing of the books and the consolidation of subsidiaries for group US GAAP, regulatory and other reporting needs.

Junior Accountant, U.S. Companies will include assisting in the accurate accounting for PineBridge’s U.S. based operating companies, including PineBridge’s principal investment management subsidiary, PineBridge Investments LLC, and its registered broker-dealer subsidiary. Coordinating the StarCompliance system across global compliance teams and responding to employee questions concerning the Code of Ethics.

  • Assist US controllers in completing an efficient, accurate and controlled monthly / quarterly / annual closing of the books and the consolidation of subsidiaries for group US GAAP, regulatory and other reporting needs, including aiding in the preparations of the related financial statements, analyses, forecasts and reports
  • Monitor, reconcile and settle balance sheet accounts and intercompany accounts
  • Maintain and modify, as appropriate, chart of accounts and allocation processes for the applicable legal entity, business unit or subsidiary
  • Maintain and modify report formats for the legal entity, business unit and subsidiary reporting needs
  • Proficiently use general ledger (Workday), reporting tools, Microsoft office and other information technology
  • Execute responsibilities in accordance with internal control policies and procedures and assist with updates as necessary
  • Stay current on GAAP accounting and reporting standards
  • Assist with documenting, reporting and integrating the impact of entity transactions
  • Review and analyze the activity and balances recorded by the billing and accounts payable teams
  • Support management reporting by ensuring activity and balances are recorded in the appropriate cost centers
  • Undertake special projects as they arise, identify department requirements in new system development efforts and responds to all ad hoc reporting requests - assisting on various projects and assignments within Controllers group
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 2 – 3 years experience in general accounting, Financial Services a plus
  • Posses business acumen, professionalism and presence to comfortably work with and contribute to team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, meet deadlines in an organized fashion
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Experience with Workday general ledger helpful
  • Experience with Concur Expense system a plus
