Job Summary
As an Associate, UAT (User Acceptance Testing) Business Manager within the Controls Management team, you will lead and manage the user acceptance testing efforts for various proprietary applications within the bank. You will ensure that software solutions meet business requirements, comply with regulatory standards, and deliver an optimal user experience. You will collaborate across departments to define test strategies, coordinate UAT processes, and provide insights to improve system functionality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and document UAT strategies, test plans, and schedules.
- Define acceptance criteria in collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Establish and maintain traceability between business requirements and test cases.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and testers, during UAT phases.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders during UAT cycles.
- Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to resolve ambiguities in requirements.
- Train and guide UAT testers on test scripts, tools, and best practices.
- Oversee execution of test cases, identifying and logging defects using appropriate tools.
- Manage issue resolution in collaboration with development and support teams.
- Provide regular progress reports and final testing summaries to stakeholders.
- Facilitate UAT closure, ensuring all stakeholders agree for deployment readiness.
- Review and enhance testing frameworks, tools, and methodologies.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Strong experience with proprietary applications and systems.
- A good understanding of SDLC and Agile software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in testing tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, qTest, Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG/Junit, Robot Framework, Postman/Newman, TestRail, or similar).
- Basic understanding of financial products, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical skills, ability to problem-solve, and detail oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple UAT cycles concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to work across different time zones to support global teams.
- Strong ethical standards and adherence to the institution's data security policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-2 years in software testing, quality assurance, or UAT management.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Proven track record of leading UAT for small to enterprise-level applications
- Experience with API testing, database queries (SQL), Confluence, and ServiceNow
- Equivalent work experience in lieu of formal education
