Datavail is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, and passionate Cloud DBA to join our Data Engineering Global Practice. As a Cloud DBA, you will be working on the latest Cloud technologies in the industry. This position is based out of our global delivery centers in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Bangalore in India.

Required Skills:
6+ years of Cloud DBA or SQL DBA with equivalent experience on cloud with Azure or AWS administration.
· Managing and Administrating On-Prem sql server 2012\2014\2016\2017\2019\2022\2025 production and Non-production Servers.
· Installing & upgrading SQL Server 2012\2014\2016\2017\2019\2022\2025 and its service packs on Windows Environment.
· Migration of 2019\2022\2025 On-prem to cloud with Azure VM, Azure MI, SQL Database.
· Migration of 2019\2022\2025 On-prem to cloud with AWS EC2 and RDS with S3 bucket.
· Experience in High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
· Experience in Windows Clustering, Replication, Log Shipping, Always On.
· Knowledge of MSBI in Integration Services, Reporting Services & Analysis Services.
· Performed daily tasks including using tools like SQL Server Management Studio, Azure portal, Azure data studio, Azure data factory, SQL Server Agent, and Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Extended events, query store.
· Well versed in SQL Server technical skills and should be able to drive the problems and provide technical solutions.
· Experienced in TSQL coding, debugging and fixes.
· Experienced Performance Tuning and Optimization technics.
· Automation and Scripting: Utilizing automation and scripting (e.g., Transact-SQL, PowerShell, Python) to streamline routine tasks and manage cloud resources efficiently.
· Knowledge on one of or more of third party tools such as - DPA, Rubrik, CommVault, Veeam, LiteSpeed, IBM Tivoli, RedGate, SolarWinds etc. would be an added advantage.
· Knowledge on Comprehensive AI tools: Azure with OpenAI integration (GPT/DALL·E,Codex), Cognitive Services, and Bot Service. AWS with SageMaker for end-to-end ML, Bedrock for foundation models, and specialized services like Rekognition and Transcribe/Polly. Gen-AI assistance Amazon Q.
· Microsoft, Azure, AWS certifications would be a plus!

Role and Responsibilities:
· Cloud\SQL Database Administration within co-lo, IaaS and PaaS Microsoft Azure environment including Azure Managed Instances, AWS EC2 and RDS instances administration.
· Working in 24*7 support model
· Providing support in non-production and production environments On-prem and cloud.
· Owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs.
· Reviewing service-related reports related to disk space, backups and alerting on a daily basis to ensure service-related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs.
· Responding to database related alerts and escalations and working with Technical Operations team to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems.
· Database Server Setup, Patching.
· On-Prem to cloud Migration, Configuration of Iaas and Paas.
· Participate in Disaster Recovery planning, processes, procedures, testing and execution.
· Query tunning and optimization On-prem and Cloud.
· Exposure high availability technologies - AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Cluster, Database Mirroring, Replication and Log Shipping.
· Creation/handling/monitoring of SQL Jobs on On-Prem and cloud instances.
· Setup and monitoring of DB/Server Maintenance jobs and alerts.
· Backup restore on\from On-Prem and cloud storage.
· Ability to work on enhancement using Azure and AWS AI tools GPT-4, DALL·E, and Codex, Azure AI & ML, Azure Bot service, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Mazon Rekognition, Amazon Transcribe/Polly, Amazon Q etc.
· Ensure IT standards, audit and compliance requirements and controls are understood and adhered to.
· In addition to the above key responsibilities, you may be required to undertake other duties from time to time as the Company may reasonably require.
