Role Purpose and Summary

• Leverage expertise in acquisitions and project finance to (1) provide analytical and transactional support for smaller-scale or supporting roles on larger-scale transactions across their lifecycle – from pre-qualification to financial close, (2) assist in evaluating investment opportunities through financial modelling, due diligence, and market research, and (3) contribute to post-financial close activities by supporting the Project Co team during construction and operation phases on key financial and commercial challenges

Experience

• 4-6 years of relevant professional experience in business development within the PPP sector, including roles in development, consulting, financial advisory, and/or infrastructure banking/private equity; Experience in the Middle East region is preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or relevant technical disciplines.
• A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA or MSc in Finance) or Chartered Accountant qualification is a plus

Key Responsibilities: Role Specific Technical Responsibilities

• Transaction Support
• Assist in the origination phase by preparing market trend analyses, supporting market-sounding exercises, and contributing to the preparation of Expressions of Interest and Statements of Qualification
• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential projects, assessing financial viability and project risks
• Conduct research and analysis on potential partners, including co-investors, EPC contractors, and FM/O&M partners, assessing their technical and financial suitability
• Support bid preparation, negotiations, project award, and financial closure, working closely with internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with specialized teams, including financial, legal, and technical advisors, to facilitate the transaction process
• Facilitate close collaboration with external advisors in reviewing due diligence reports and finalizing them before sharing with external parties such as lenders.


• Financial Analysis
• Perform financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment to evaluate investment opportunities
• Contribute to the development, maintenance and audit of financial models for PPP transactions and portfolio companies
• Conduct sensitivity analyses and scenario planning to support decision-making


• Contractual and Documentation Support
• Assist in drafting and reviewing transaction-related documents, such as project agreements, financing documentation, and partnership contracts
• Prepare high-quality presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders


• Post-Transaction Support
• Provide financial and analytical support to Project Companies during the construction and operational phases
• Coordinate with the SPV team to address financial model updates, cost claims, and other project requirements


• Stakeholder Coordination
• Support engagement with banks, preparing information memorandums and contributing to discussions on financing terms
• Assist in maintaining relationships with lenders and other stakeholders to support current and future transactions
• Assist in coordinating with partners, including co-investors, EPC contractors, and FM/O&M partners
