The Assistant Sales Manager drives sales execution and business development, ensures pricing alignment, manages customer relationships, and leads station teams to achieve revenue growth.
The Assistant Sales Manager – AMD is responsible for driving sales execution, business development, pricing alignment, and relationship management across both stations, with a strong focus on AA and 3PL capacity. The role ensures commercial discipline, close coordination with Revenue Management, and effective handling of HQ escalations to support sustained revenue and yield growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution (AA & 3PL)- Execute and refine station-level sales strategies across AA and 3PL products for AMD.
- Drive optimal capacity utilisation, yield protection, and market penetration.
- Identify growth opportunities through market and competitor analysis.
AA & 3PL Capacity Development and Execution
- Lead development and execution of AA and 3PL capacity to support station growth.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure effective utilisation and reliability.
- Monitor capacity performance and recommend adjustments to maximise revenue.
Customer Management:
- Build and manage relationships with key customers, agents, and partners at AMD.
- Act as the primary commercial escalation point for pricing, capacity, and service-related issues.
- Ensure consistent service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Support and mentor station teams through hands-on coaching and on-ground guidance.
- Strengthen execution capability, pricing discipline, and customer handling.
- Foster a collaborative, performance-driven culture across stations.
- Work closely with operations, customer success, finance, pricing, and revenue management teams.
- Coordinate capacity planning, issue resolution, and execution alignment, especially in stations with limited operational resources.
- Support customer meetings, trade activities, and regional initiatives.
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and analyse station-wise performance across AA and 3PL (tonnage, revenue, yield).
- Prepare regular performance updates and action plans for the Sales Manager and senior management.
- Use insights to continuously improve sales and pricing execution.
