Directs the activities of a team/shift of production workers (semi-skilled and skilled) so that established production targets, including volume, cost and quality measures are safely met. Focuses on weekly activities, and giving daily assignments to a mid-large sized shift/team. Operations are of simple-mid level complexity (e.g. managing more than 1 line/area), normally requiring some more complicated machine set-ups.
- Support production team for productivity improvement and cost reduction Works with Technical Advisors and plant personnel to optimize operations, meet business and plant goals
- Provide engineering support to the manufacturing site Mass and Energy balance for existing process and identify the gap Preparation of BFD, PFD and P&ID
- Manage management of change and process hazard reviews Identify and lead manufacturing process efficiency and improvement projects Coordinate with cross functional teams on various initiatives.
- To drive sustainability themes (Water conservation, energy reduction, waste reduction etc) Lead/Participate in PSSR, HAZOP, HAZAN, QRA etc.
- Provides equipment operation and process training to equipment operators and others
- Coordinate manufacturing and laboratory processes Analyzes batch cycle times, Consumables, Utility consumption and identification of various improvement themes to reduce cost, improve reliability and safety Investigates off-grade or abnormal batches, Preparation of CAPA and implementation of CAPA. Review of CAPA for its successful implementation
