As an Asset Management - Sales Support APAC- Associate in the India Sales Support team, you will be responsible for providing a fully integrated center of relationship intelligence, connecting all touch points across the client lifecycle to help promote sales performance and deliver a purposeful client experience. The India Sales Support team works closely with clients, client advisors, financial advisors, relationship managers and global sales support teams to help facilitate the process. The role also requires coordinating with various internal teams (Client Service, Marketing, Product, Finance, MIS/Business Intelligence and Technology) to be able to provide holistic coverage across the cycle.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research trends within the distribution channel universe, staying informed of industry developments, regulatory/legal changes, and their implications for clients' portfolios. Assist with the preparation of materials for strategy meetings, business reviews, and sales conferences.
- Understand current and prospective client relationships, their asset allocation preferences, and assist in client review presentations, including gathering client intelligence and preparing client briefing memos.
- Create and update client reports and deliverables that are ad hoc or periodic, such as DDQs, RFPs, pitchbooks, client presentations, and other meeting materials.
- Respond to client queries via email and manage client communications, including attending client calls (product reviews, portfolio reviews, business catch-ups) and documenting meeting notes.
- Maintain client information in various internal databases like Salesforce and Spectrum, including documenting sales activity for tracking and compliance purposes.
- Partner with sales and marketing teams on new product launch initiatives (e.g., actively managed ETFs, sustainable strategies), client events, and market research communications.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of various platforms, asset classes, products, and technical expertise to effectively execute and manage assigned BAU tasks and projects.
- Drive stakeholder management by thinking beyond task execution, identifying potential objections/problems, and taking the initiative to address and resolve them.
- Take full ownership of the delivery and execution of a pipeline of sales-related tasks and activities of increasing complexity.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Relevant industry experience and knowledge of sales process
- Strong Quantitative and analytical skillsets (including data analysis and ability to understand data flows)
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office product suite (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) required
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- CFA is a plus
- Experience working with an industry recognized CRM platform (Salesforce) is a plus
- Understanding of Asset Management business (Investment Management, Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, and/or Separate Accounts) preferable
- Effective planning and time management skills to meet strict deadlines or changing priorities (able to self-prioritize and leverage resources to be problem solver)
- Professional and industrious attitude, possessing energy, ownership and confidence to complete work with limited supervision
- Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment, successfully and efficiently
- Stakeholder Management is key. Interact and communicate confidently and effectively with all stakeholders
