Role / Position Overview:
This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work within the Equities Technology group and work closely with a front-office business unit and established technology teams to develop our strategically important platform.
The Equities business has set an ambitious growth plan, and strong technical development is critical to achieving our goals and enhancing our leading position in the financial market. The successful candidate will play a key role in that success. This is a fast paced, challenging team of highly experienced technologists and you will be expected to have strong prior front office experience.
This position involves: Requirements analysis and capture, working closely with the business users and other technology teams to define solutions, develop low latency and high frequency solution using Citi’s strategic One Market Access platform (OMA).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development on One Market Access (OMA) platform to establish connectivity across the globe.
- Building relationship with internal and external teams, the successful applicant will be responsible for end to end delivery of prioritized connectivity streams of work.
- Communicate effectively with business, development, QA, infrastructure and production support teams.
- Use technical skills to ensure business requirements are understood at all levels of delivery.
- Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development, support and technical business users.
- Establish strong working relationships across different technology areas (QA, Support, etc.).
- Provide ongoing support after implementation, whilst working on new enhancements and additional phases.
- Work as part of a global development team, to ensure that global tools and technologies are leveraged.
- Willing to interact with global teams to drive initiatives from APAC region.

Qualifications
Knowledge/Experience:
- Strong experience in Core Java, having worked upon low latency solutions
- Recognized degree in Computer Science, IT or engineering with at least 2+ years’ relevant experience in software development
- Good exposure to market connectivity application development
- Good understanding of electronic trading and financial markets
- Experience on FIX/Binary protocols
- Experience of working in a trading environment
- Good to have exposure to C++, python, groovy
- Good Analytical and Project Coordination skills
- Familiar with DevOps tools, CI/CD, and BitBucket
