Position Summary:

The Software Development Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions tailored to the company's insurance operations. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, architecting scalable and efficient software systems, and ensures the reliability and security of applications. They contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and ongoing support. They stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes relevant to the insurance domain.

What will your job entail?

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support Enterprise Integration Platform build with Azure technologies like API Gateway, Functions, Service Bus, and Logic Apps.
  • Design and implement integration architectures and solutions for real-time, batch and data integrations spanning multiple Internal and External systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to development teams on integrations, integration patterns, middleware technologies and API Management.
  • Define and follow various best practices for integration methodologies, ensuring all projects align with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide effective integration solutions.
  • Create solutions to facilitate smooth data exchange and workflow between different business units, enhance data consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor the performance of implemented integration solutions, identify any issues or bottlenecks, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Continuously monitor and assess integration architectures to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability, to ensure that Integration landscape evolves as new technologies are onboarded.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices in integration architecture and security.
  • Define and implement SLA’s and other metrics for the APIs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of prior integration architecture and/or development experience required.
  • Minimum 10 years of total IT experience preferred.
  • Proven expertise in Azure API Management, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Logic Apps.
  • Strong understanding of Integration patterns, Integration techniques, Data Integrations required.
  • Proficient in developing and documenting architecture designs and processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications in Azure or related technologies are a plus.
