We are currently hiring a resource in Mumbai for the role of Technical Writer. The ideal candidate will be a proactive critical thinker. Candidate must be detail oriented, work at a good pace, be able to work independently. This position works directly with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to define, develop and deploy effective learning materials throughout the organization. This resource will assist with development and execution of documentation to support Kroll’s continued focus on providing the best-in-class service. The Senior Technical Writer & Content Developer will author, organize and maintain a wide variety of complex documentation artifacts (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process-flows, user guides, manuals, and procedures). The right candidate will have experience writing and managing training documentation.

The responsibilities and requirements of this role are illustrated below:

Responsibilities:

  • Work with department managers and supervisors to maintain standard operating procedures (“SOPs”) by writing new procedures, revising current procedures, and tracking the SOP review through final approval
  • Assist in coordinating the layout and organization of these written materials and support the development and management of a Knowledge Base
  • Collaborate with Departments to develop training material
  • Prepare project plan for each set of deliverables; updates plan and calendars as project scope and release dates change
  • Build Power BI dashboards converting data to visuals and executive presentation for reporting, monthly reviews, support leadership team on ad hoc requirements. 

Requirements

  • Proven experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a creative writing role preferred.
  • BA in a writing-heavy major (e.g. English, Sociology, Philosophy) or Technical Writing
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to make complex topics easy and engaging
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and execution skills with an ability to manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand complex subject matter
  • Proficiency in extracting subject matter expert knowledge and communicating it in a meaningful way
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience in customer and client service.
  • Ability to communicate ideas verbally, textually and pictorially

Good to have:

  • Project Management experience
  • Familiarity with popular e-learning platforms such as 360learning or LinkedIn Learning.
