The Finance Analyst is responsible for daily and month-end accounting activities, managing GL processes, reconciliations, journal entries, and communication with finance teams.

The Finance analyst/senior analyst is a direct reporting into a team leader/ Manager and is responsible for the day to day & month-end accounting activities
Key accountabilities
Technical activities
- Daily, month and end year GL process, revenue and expenditure analysis
- Update and maintain general ledger and sub-ledgers detail for accounts such as fixed assets, prepayments, intangibles and accruals
- Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations and other key controls are completed monthly as per group policy
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Work on projects as required by management
- Prepare period end adjustments (e.g., accruals, currency conversions, etc.)
- Provide inputs as required during annual group and statutory audits
- Produce management and regulatory reports
Relationship management
- Develop sound professional working relationships with Finance shared services teams
Communication
- Proactive and regular communications with the business and other areas of Finance whose work impacts, or depends upon the GL & Reporting team
- Actively communicate and seek feedback from colleagues and customers
- Be supportive and encourage support for "people initiatives" e.g. Your Voice, Travelex Awards etc
- Play a participative part in team meetings
- Be proactive in the provision of feedback and the delivery of ideas to develop and improve Travelex Finance services, in particular those within the GL team
- Ensure feedback to line manager outlining general activities of role and ‘how we are doing’
General
- Undertakes any necessary training associated with the duties of the post and participates in training and development procedures
- Complies with all Company Health and Safety policies and legislation in the performance of their duties and responsibilities
- Maintains confidentiality and observes data protection guidelines
- Manage expenses in accordance with Company Expense Policy
- Carries out any other reasonable duties commensurate with their capability
Please note that shift timings will be 5:30 am to 2:30 pm for two weeks (during month end)
