Job Description:


Windsurf (formerly Codeium) is an AI coding acceleration toolkit that is changing the way software is written. Windsurf is trusted by developers of all profiles, from hobbyists working on personal projects to enterprise development teams with tens of thousands of engineers. We are seeking a highly motivated Developer Relations Manager to build and nurture the developer community across India.India has a vibrant and rapidly growing ecosystem of developers that includes students studying to be engineers, to developers at tech companies, to systems integrators and consultants, and more. India is projected to have over 30 million developers in the next decade, eventually surpassing all other markets. There is a massive, unparalleled opportunity to help Windsurf gain mindshare in this market.The ideal candidate will be an ex-developer or product manager with strong technical and people skills, capable of inspiring developers and promoting Windsurf as the go-to tool for developers. You will be part of our foundational India team and will drive awareness, engagement, and adoption through community events, talks, workshops, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Building: Develop and execute strategies to engage and grow a developer community around Windsurf, both online and offline.

  • Event Management: Plan and host events (e.g., meetups, hackathons, workshops) to increase awareness, educate developers, and drive sign-ups. Collaborate with internal teams to create relevant materials (decks, demos, etc.).

  • Developer Evangelism: Represent Windsurf at conferences, industry events, and local meetups, acting as a technical expert and advocate for the brand. Deliver compelling talks and demos that resonate with developers.

  • Partnerships & Outreach: Establish relationships with universities, startups, developer groups, and enterprise tech teams to expand Windsurf’s presence across India.

  • Marketing Strategy: Responsible for collaborating with the marketing team to develop viral content (blog posts, videos, tutorials) that educates and engages the developer community, executing on email campaigns and other strategies to raise awareness about Windsurf within India.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in a technical role.

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science or related field

  • A self-starter who can work independently, manage time effectively, and execute multiple initiatives with minimal oversight.

  • Ability to plan and execute marketing campaigns, email outreach, and event strategies autonomously.

  • Strong organizational skills, people-oriented, excels at public speaking, presenting to all levels from individuals to executives. 

  • Passion for artificial intelligence and large language models. Hands-on experience with these technologies is not required, but is a plus.

  • Prior experience working as a software developer is a plus.
