We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence Support individual to be responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's Business Intelligence (BI) systems, ensuring smooth operation by troubleshooting technical issues, managing user access, and providing ongoing support to address data queries and reporting needs, ultimately facilitating informed decision-making across the organization

The Job

• User Support:

  • Responding to user inquiries regarding BI reports, dashboards, and data access.

  • Troubleshooting technical issues users encounter while utilizing BI tools.

• System Maintenance:

  • Monitoring the performance and stability of BI systems.

  • Identifying and resolving data quality issues within the BI environment.

  • Implementing updates and patches to BI software as needed.

• Report Development and Management:

  • Assisting with the creation and modification of existing BI reports and dashboards.

  • Ensuring data accuracy and consistency within reports.

  • Optimizing report performance to deliver timely results.

• Data Management:

  • Collaborating with team members to ensure data pipelines are functioning correctly.

  • Performing data cleansing and transformation tasks as required.

  • Managing data access controls and security within the BI platform.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Gathering requirements from business stakeholders to identify necessary BI reporting needs.

  • Communicating data insights and analysis to key decision-makers.

  • Collaborating with BI developers to implement new features and functionalities.

Qualifications & Skills required

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in BI tools like Power BI, Cognos, Tableau,

  • Strong SQL knowledge for data manipulation and query writing

  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes

• Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to analyze large datasets and interpret trends

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication to effectively explain technical concepts to non-technical users

  • Stakeholder management and ability to gather requirements

Additional Skills

• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

• Communication: Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members.

Experience

• 4-6 years’ experience supporting Business Intelligence applications

• 4-6 years’ experience with Power BI, Cognos and other reporting tools

• More than 2 years’ experience with Snowflake cloud-based data warehouse

• 2-4 years’ experience developing Python based code that reads/writes data into databases

• 2-4 years’ experience developing SQL scripts and stored procedures that process data from databases

• 2-4 years’ experience with batch job scheduling and identifying data/job dependencies

• Strong understanding of various data formats such as CSV, XML, JSON etc.
