Impact & contribution :-
A Customer Remediation Analyst at ASB plays a key role in helping the bank “make things right” for customers who may have been negatively impacted by system issues, product errors, fees, or other mistakes. The work directly supports ASB’s commitment to fairness, trust, and regulatory compliance.
This role sits within ASB’s Remediation Business Unit, which was established to correct customer harm and prevent future issues. The unit delivers multiple projects across Personal, Business, and corporate banking, working with structured processes and specialised squads.
Roles & Responsibilities :-
- Perform advanced analysis to help answer questions.
- Conduct analysis to understand customer behaviours, customer profiles and customer impact, etc.
- Liaise with other analytics users and data experts to ensure insights are useful and add value to the business.
- Utilize additional/external sources of information to generate further insight.
- Use new tools and techniques to broaden my learning.
- Present insights to facilitate discussion about key metrics.
- Work Timings: 5.30am – 2.30pm (IST)
Essential Skills:-
2+ years of experience.
Ability to align Chapter goals with A&I (Analytics & Insights) objectives to deliver cohesive outcomes.
- Proficient in one or more analytical skillsets such as SQL or other data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and problem‑solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
- Familiarity with customer remediation processes and regulatory expectations (nice to have).
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualisation (nice to have).
- Prior exposure to banking products, including fees, interest, and disclosure requirements (nice to have).
- Experience working in production data environments and managing customer data securely.
- Able to work with complex datasets and deliver meaningful, relevant, and actionable insights.
- Capable of accurately interpreting results and applying standard analytical techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high‑quality, timely insights and analytics.
- Comfortable problem‑solving in complex and dynamic environments.
- Strong written communication and presentation skills, with confidence presenting to groups.
- Ability to learn and adopt new tools and technologies as needed.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Outcome‑focused, with a willingness to challenge the status quo to drive better customer results.
- Ability to negotiate delivery timelines and clearly communicate trade‑offs and benefits to stakeholders.
- Capable of translating analytical findings into practical, actionable business insights.
- Skilled in using advanced analytics to improve remediation and speed up issue resolution and payments.
- Familiar with statistical and machine learning methods.
- Able to identify AI opportunities and apply analytics while meeting regulatory requirements.
Education Qualification :-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology
