Job title – Accounts Payable Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts payable analyst to join our Accounts Payable team. The Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable functions, ensuring that all invoices and payments are processed in a timely and accurate manner. This role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently within established deadlines. You will work closely with both internal teams and external vendors, helping to maintain smooth financial operations.
Come join our growing Group Finance team in our Mumbai office! Reporting to the Assistant manager AP based in Mumbai, this role will support the YouGov group in paying our suppliers on time and making it easier for our team to efficiently procure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Match supplier invoices to the relevant PO and ensure that the goods/services have been received before they are paid.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure proper documentation is provided.
• Invoice query resolution
• When processing purchases on behalf of another group entity to input the matching intercompany transactions
• Creditor ledger reviews
• Suggest ways to improve controls and processes.
• Supporting internal and external audits
• Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring all payments are completed accurately and on time.
• Manage payment schedules, ensuring that payments are made in a timely manner to avoid late fees or disruptions.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding payment issues or discrepancies.
• Reconcile accounts payable balances to the general ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring that all accounts payable transactions are recorded properly.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 4-5 years of experience in an accounts payable role or a similar finance position.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• High attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial transactions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with vendors and internal teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• Dealing with audit questions (Preferred)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience of using NetSuite.
• Using Six Sigma to improve financial processes.
• Experience in presenting data analytically (e.g. through Power BI).
• Prior experience in internal audits related to AP processes.
