About You and the role
As an Accounting Specialist based in Navi Mumbai you will play a critical role in maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the company’s financial records in compliance with US GAAP and Ind AS standards. This position demands strong technical accounting expertise for preparing financial statements and statutory audit schedules, while ensuring adherence to established accounting policies and internal controls. You will support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, perform reconciliations, and conduct flux analysis to explain significant variances. In addition, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including tax and audit—to deliver timely and precise reporting. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives, such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Excel macros, driving efficiency and innovation. Your work directly impacts the quality of financial reporting and compliance, requiring attention to detail, analytical thinking, and strict adherence to company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure timely and accurate execution of accounting activities in line with company standards:- Day-to-day accounting (US GAAP / Ind AS)
- Monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
- Quarterly Blackline reconciliations
- Monthly flux analysis (comparing current and prior period trial balances and explaining significant fluctuations)
- Preparation of quarterly and year-end schedules
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce; Chartered Accountant or US CPA preferred.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in financial accounting with US GAAP / Ind AS.
- Proficient in financial accounting (under IGAAP and US GAAP).
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and SAP.
