The Oracle Cloud PPM Senior Consultant leads the implementation of Oracle Cloud PPM, configuring modules for project financial management, costing, and billing, while ensuring alignment with best practices.
Overview
The Oracle Cloud PPM Senior Consultant is responsible for leading the implementation and configuration of the Oracle Cloud Project Portfolio Management (PPM) for clients. This role ensures that project financials, costing, billing, and reporting processes are aligned with business objectives and industry best practices. The consultant will work closely with client stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions that streamline operations and enhance visibility into project performance.
Position Requirements:
The Oracle Cloud PPM Senior Consultant must deliver a solution that meets the customer’s objectives by combining industry best practices, product expertise, and business insight. Responsibilities include:
1PPM Implementation & Configuration:
· Lead the end-to-end implementation of Oracle Cloud PPM modules including Project Financial Management, Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Contracts, and Project Control.
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations.
· Configure project structures, budgeting methods, billing rules, revenue recognition, and cost management functionalities.
2 Project Financial Management:
Ensure accurate capture of project-related costs and revenues.
Support and streamline billing and revenue recognition cycles.
Design and implement solutions for capital project tracking, project budgeting, and contract-based billing.
Ensure seamless flow of data across modules for real-time project tracking and financial reporting.
3 Testing & Validation:
Conduct CRP sessions.
Validate end-to-end project flows for accuracy and business alignment.
Ensure system compliance with business rules, accounting standards, and audit requirements.
4 Documentation & Best Practices:
· Produce high-quality documentation for functional design, configuration, test scenarios, and user guides.
· Recommend Oracle Cloud best practices and enhancements to maximize solution value.
· Stay updated with new Oracle Cloud PPM releases and features.
Experience (Must Have):
8+ years of Oracle EBS or Cloud experience with a focus on Project Portfolio Management (PPM).
Minimum 3 full-cycle Oracle Cloud PPM implementations as a functional lead.
Deep understanding of Oracle Cloud PPM modules: Project Financial Management, Costing, Billing, and Contracts.
Hands-on configuration experience with project structures, task setups, costing methods, and billing rules.
Experience in gathering and documenting requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, configuration, testing, training, and go-live support.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Experience working with onshore and offshore functional/technical teams.
Good to Have:
Exposure to integrating Oracle PPM with Oracle Cloud Financials, Procurement, or HCM modules.
Familiarity with Oracle Reporting Tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, Smart View).
Oracle Cloud PPM Certification (preferred).
Understanding of project budgeting and forecasting best practices.
Experience with Oracle Cloud release 21+.
