Own the architecture, technical direction, reliability, cost efficiency, and adoption of Atlassian’s analytical data platform. Build foundational ingestion, transformation, orchestration, compute, and consumption components; establish multi-tenant standards and SLOs; and lead cross-team technical initiatives. The role requires hands-on development, distributed systems expertise, batch and streaming architecture design, cloud experience, and mentorship of senior engineers.

Build and maintain scalable, high-performing frontend applications and tools. Collaborate with engineers, designers, and managers to solve user problems; contribute to reviews, documentation, and complex fixes; lead projects through design, implementation, launch, and operations; and mentor junior engineers.

Provides technical leadership for complex full-stack engineering initiatives from design through launch. Owns architecture decisions, establishes engineering standards, leads cross-team projects, champions technical excellence, shares best practices, mentors engineers, and considers customer impact. The role requires deep experience building reliable, secure, observable systems at scale and familiarity with A/B testing.
