Morgan Stanley Launches Mumbai Office to Host 8,500 Employees

The new campus features various well-being amenities and spans over one million square feet.

Morgan Stanley, a financial services firm with offices in 42 countries across the globe, announced the opening of its latest office in Mumbai. The new campus, located at Commerz III, International Business Park in Goregaon, spans over 1 million square feet and can accommodate more than 8,500 employees.

Serving corporations, governments, institutions and individuals worldwide, Morgan Stanley offers various services, including investment banking, securities, wealth management and investment management solutions. 

“India’s economic growth, technological innovation, and demographic advantage make it an integral part of the firm’s regional and global strategy.” Gokul Laroia, Asia CEO & co-head of global equities at Morgan Stanley, said in a statement. “Our real estate investment, coupled with best-in-class infrastructure and resources for our Mumbai staff, reflects Morgan Stanley’s continued commitment to India and to our growing footprint in this important market.”

The company’s new office is designed to facilitate a range of work styles with collaborative spaces and various features and amenities. The office is equipped to accommodate accessibility needs and support employee health and well-being. Alongside its Food Hall, the office offers an onsite fitness center and gym, as well as a health center that includes a pharmacy, acute care and specialty services.

It also encompasses a full-service childcare center onsite, suitable for more than 100 children between six months and six years old. Additionally, the office has mother’s rooms, multifaith rooms and outdoor terraces across various floors. 

Alongside its multitude of employee accommodation features, the office is sustainably designed. It is equipped with energy-efficient lighting, solutions for reduced water consumption, a ban on single-use plastic and waste minimization practices. The new office consolidates the firm’s Global Center operations into a single campus.
