Cloudera IT is looking for a talented, motivated, and passionate Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. This role is focused on internal IT infrastructure, both in the public cloud and on-premise environments. You’ll be at the centre of modernising our IT operations with automation, DevOps practices, and a security-first approach, helping us scale efficiently while ensuring resilience and compliance.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will:
Build and automate CI/CD pipelines for IT infrastructure and applications using tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Harness, and Terraform
Work with IT Systems, Cloud Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering teams to design and implement optimal automation solutions
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation frameworks to support both public cloud and private cloud environments
Provide day-to-day operational support for Linux compute and core IT services, ensuring high availability and reliability
Operationalise security requirements into systems and pipelines, ensuring compliance and resilience from the ground up
Create and maintain accurate documentation for automation, operational audits, and compliance
Continuously drive improvements in IT operations through automation, monitoring, and observability
We’re excited about you if you have:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Solid understanding of core AWS, Azure, and GCP services relevant to enterprise IT infrastructure (e.g., compute, networking, storage, identity)
Hands-on skills with Python and shell scripting, used for automation and tooling
Strong Linux systems experience and comfort with common CLI tools
Proven experience with Terraform, GitHub/Git, and CI/CD processes
Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience designing, building, and operating secure, automated infrastructure in public and private cloud environments
You may also have:
Certifications such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Red Hat, or Terraform
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and their implementation in both traditional on-premises environments and public cloud platforms
Knowledge of enterprise security principles, cryptography, PKI, and operational security practices
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
