Senior Developer - Telecom Mobile Test Probes

The CSG Stockholm team is developing an advanced telecom testing software solution called CSG Assure used by mobile operators across the globe, including leading operators like AT&T, Tata, Orange.

CSG Assure is an artificial test traffic generation platform consisting of a cloud-based application, controllers and test probes located in around 200 countries globally.

We are looking for a skilled developer to be part of our small, agile team to build applications that help our mobile operator customers validate and optimize mobile service performance for their roamers and local subscribers.

You will develop our next-generation mobile test probe for 3G, 4G, 5G and IoT to simulate mobile users using voice, SMS and data services. Main development is done in C & C++ on Linux platform.

• You are a highly skilled, analytical, customer-focused person with a strong developer profile that enjoys taking responsibility, making sure our customers get full value of our high-tech solutions
• You will report to the Executive Director Product & Development

You Should Have

• Completed Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in telecom
• Strong proficiency in C++, data structures and multi-threading programming
• Linux system knowledge
• Solid understanding of the Radio Access Network (RAN) layer of mobile networks; the signaling and data exchange between devices and the network.
• Good knowledge of mobile network technologies (3G, 4G, IMS/VoLTE, 5G, IoT) and network signaling (e.g. SIP, RRC, NAS) as defined in 3GPP
• Excellent Communication, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Skills

• Experience in development against cellular modems; experience with either AT commands, QMI, or modem vendor SDK
• Experience with network monitoring tools and protocol analyzers like Wireshark, QCAT
• Familiarity with scripting languages, e.g. LUA, Shell, Perl
• Understanding of eUICC/eSIM, GSMA standards

• Android development experience
