Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to take ownership of the VMware Cloud on AWS Analytics and Commerce areas. This role is essential in leading the strategic development and enhancement of our console roadmap, ensuring a seamless and robust user experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in analytics, commerce and cloud technologies, with proven business impact. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Ownership: Take full ownership of the VMware Cloud on AWS Console, driving strategic initiatives and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Leadership in Development: Lead the product development process, working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements.

  • User Experience Focus: Prioritize user experience in the design and functionality of the console and control plane, ensuring they are intuitive and efficient for users.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Collaborate with design, engineering, sales, and support teams to ensure the console and control plane meet user needs and business goals.

  • Market Insights: Conduct thorough market research and user feedback analysis to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.

  • Roadmap Management: Develop and manage a comprehensive product roadmap, balancing short-term enhancements with long-term strategic goals.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on product progress and gathering input to guide development.

Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is advantageous.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management, with a focus on cloud services and user experience.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and experience with distributed control plane architectures.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable product strategies.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Leadership: Proven leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving product success.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with VMware products, particularly in cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with agile development practices and tools.

  • Knowledge of industry trends in cloud computing and user interface design.
